Do you have a spare $300,000 USD burning a hole in your pocket? Me neither. But if you did, you’d be able to buy this couture Elie Saab wedding gown that featured on the catwalk in Paris this week.

The decadent gown in lilac hues is gold embroidered, featuring a sari veil and is reported to weigh 150 pounds, around 68 kilograms! It was the centrepiece of the Lebanese designer’s spring-summer 2016 collection inspired by a trip he took to India, unveiled at Paris’ Haute Couture Fashion week.

While that price tag is out of the question for most mere mortals, Elie Saab does have a lot of high-end clientele. He has designed dresses for the weddings of princesses, after all, including Princess Claire of Luxembourg and Belgian Countess Stephanie de Lannoy.

You can get yourself into an entry-level Elie Saab wedding gown for around $12,000 USD.

Even if that’s out of your price range, have a look at some of the other dresses from his runway show for a bit of inspiration. I’m loving the beading and non-traditional colours of these gowns with that touch of Bollywood flair.
