If you’ve ever found yourself binge-watching episode after episode of Say Yes To The Dress – you’ll want to check out the new Australian version of the show that airs for the first time tonight on Foxtel.

Say Yes To The Dress Australia is a six-part series that shows behind the scenes at upmarket bridal salon Brides of Sydney where a team of specialists will assist brides-to-be to find their dream wedding dress.

The TLC Channel describes it as “Part fashion show, part bridal story, part family therapy, the series uncovers the lengths these bridal consultants will go to in order to make each bride completely satisfied.”

The Australian version of the the show is hosted by Sydney-based couture wedding gown designer Adam Dixon and a team of bridal consultants as they attempt to find 18 brides-to-be a dream wedding dress.Foxtel promises it will be a thrilling ride:”From a bride who’s getting the dress before the proposal, to one that’s already tried on sixty so far, Say Yes To The Dress: Australia unveils all the drama and emotion that goes into finding the dress. Adam also faces an Olympic-sized test when New Zealand hockey champion, Gemma Flynn, calls on his help ahead of her highly anticipated wedding to All Blacks legend, Richie McCaw.

I often find myself watching the US version of the show when I’m channel surfing and can find it quite mesmerising to watch the drama unfold as ladies try to find their perfect dress. Hopefully our home grown version will not disappoint!
