The hashtag #BeforeGettingMarried was trending onTwitter this week, with users of the popular social network sharing their tips on what makes a marriage work.
While there were plenty of users saying “don’t do it!” or joking about inlaws and men who fart in bed, there was also a lot of good advice in there too.
The good advice covered things like not rushing into it, knowing yourself first, having your finances straight, sharing values, handling conflict and working out early on how to negotiate inlaw issues.
Here’s some of the best advice we found:
"#BeforeGettingMarried realize that conflict is normal & good. Not knowing how to handle conflict is what causes problems."
