Last week on the United Nations’ International Day of Happiness, Australia was ranked the #9 happiest place in the world.

This prompted dating site EliteSingles to crunch their numbers to work out where the happiest singles in the country are… because nobody wants to be with someone who’s a drag.

They collated anonymous data from the 14,700 Aussie singles who have registered with the site to look for love. Respondents were asked to score themselves to rate how happy they felt… which then enabled EliteSingles to geographically pinpoint where the happiest singles Down Under are located.

Geelong in Victoria was the number one location, followed by the Sunshine Coast in Queensland!
