Pippa Middleton has wed her fiance, financier James Matthews, at a ceremony in a country church near her family’s home in England.

Princess Kate’s younger sister was stunning in a gown rumoured to have cost around $70,000 AUD from British designer Giles Deacon.

The 33-year-old’s dress was a high-necked, capped-sleeved, lace dress with corseted body with heart-shaped detail at the back and a sweeping skirt.  She topped it off with a veil from milliner Stephen Jones and a tiara by Robinson Pelham. Her shoes were ivory satin pumps by Manolo Blahnik.

The designer of the dress was kept under wraps until the wedding day.

Deacon said in a statement that he was “thrilled” to work with Pippa.

“The bespoke silk cotton lace was hand appliqued to create an illusion of the dress having ‘no seams,'” he said.

“The lace bodice is embroidered with pearl detailing over an organza and tulle underskirt, which has layer upon layer to enable a floor-sweeping movement. It’s a privilege to show the craftsmanship that my team produces in London and a real testament to Pippa’s support of British fashion.”

Pippa’s famous sibling, Kate, was in charge of her children Prince George and Princess Charlotte who were among eight adorable page boys and bridesmaids.

Prince William and his brother Prince Harry were also guests. Other famous faces included Wills and Harry’s cousin Princess Beatrice and tennis star Roger Federer.  Harry’s girlfriend actress Meghan Markle was not at the ceremony, but was expected to attend the reception later.
