If you love lavender – the colour and the plant – check out this amazing styled shoot, created near Daylesford in Victoria by a team of wedding professionals who are mostly based in the famed Sydney Road wedding precinct of Melbourne.
Gemma from Giant Invitations explains:
“The team at Giant Invitations along with a talented team of industry experts have come together to beautifully bring to life a styled shoot influenced by lavender and bohemian touches.
The inspiration behind this shoot was to create something daring and disruptive – something truly different. Set in an enchanting lavender field, the free-spirited bride ran wild and free in renowned designer gowns by Maggie Sottero and Nicole Spose.
The team took the breathtaking lavender shade and complemented it with dashes of blush pink, cream, glitter and gold to add to balance it out and give it that luxe feel.
The tablescape designs brought together bursting and rich greenery, perfectly accented with light lavender and blush blooms and was given a modern and stylish look with gold-coloured geometric candle holders, centerpieces, vases and cutlery. The outdoor setting featured the much-loved high tea setting and magically unified it with a strong bohemian influence.
Surrounding a vintage timber table were plush and sequined fur rugs and metallic and embellished ottomans and cushions to give it that relaxed but super elegant appeal. The DIY element of the shoot was the gorgeously decorated cow skull. Our stylists took to the thrift shop to source the skull who was then spray painted white and gold and then delicately decorated with lace, pearls and diamantes found in precious costume jewelry stores.
The dresses the team chose had intricate lace detailings, mesmerizing low-back and embellished features, floral outlines and nude mesh netting, free-flowing tulle and spaghetti strapped lace and pearl backings. As you will find while searching for the perfect dress, you’ll find something that defines your sense of style and femininity in your own way. Maybe you’ll want something slim-lined and tight fitted or something free-flowing and elegantly draped.
From the team at Giant, we hope you can take a touch of inspiration from this styled shoot of ours and try to be the least bit daring for your own big day in your own way!”
