The old maxim goes “happy wife, happy life” – but is it actually true?
According to researchers, the answer is “yes”!
A recent study by Harry Benson, research director for Marriage Foundation, and Professor Steve McKay of the University of Lincoln analysed data from 13,000 UK couples.
They evaluated married or co-habitating couples from nine months after the birth of a child, and then again when the child turned 14.
The research revealed that mothers who reported high levels of happiness when the baby was 9 months old were more likely to maintain that happiness when the kid hit the terrible teens.
